Frequently asked questions
We answer your questions about sizing, shipping, returns, materials, and orders.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
Write to us as soon as possible with your order number. If it has not yet been prepared, we will try to modify or cancel it; once it has been dispatched, you will have to process the return when you receive it.
How do I know my order has been placed successfully?
Once you complete your purchase, you will see the order confirmation and receive an email at the address used during payment. Also check your spam folder. If you don't find it, contact us so we can check.
Where can I check the status of my order?
When the order leaves our warehouse, you will receive tracking information provided by the shipping company. You can also check the status from your account if you made the purchase with a customer account.
I received an incorrect or damaged product, what should I do?
Contact our team and include your order number, a brief explanation, and photos of the product and packaging. We will review the case with you before you send anything.
How do I use a discount code?
Enter the code in the corresponding field during the purchase process and check that the discount has been applied before paying. If it doesn't work, review its dates and conditions or write to us before finalizing the order.
How long will my order take to arrive?
The current estimated delivery times are 2–4 working days for mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, 4–6 for the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla, 3–5 for the European Union, and 4–10 for the rest of the world. These are estimates and may vary during periods of high demand or due to customs procedures.
How much is shipping?
In mainland Spain they cost €5.50 and in the Balearic Islands €8, with free shipping on orders over €100. For the European Union they cost €5 and are free on orders over €150. The Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla have a flat rate of €9.50; for other destinations you will see the exact amount at checkout.
Will I have to pay customs or import duties?
Shipments within the European Union are not subject to customs charges upon delivery. In other countries, duties, taxes, or local procedures may apply at the recipient's expense; payment is managed directly with the courier company.
How do I request an exchange or a refund?
Exchanges and returns are initiated from the Libertas Exchange and Returns Portal. There, you can identify your order and follow the steps indicated to process the request.
What is the deadline for returning an order?
You have 14 calendar days from the package's arrival. The request and shipment must comply with the timeframe and conditions indicated in the exchange and return policy.
What condition must the product be in to return it?
It must be new, unused, and with all original elements: tags, box, covers, and seals. Return costs are borne by the customer, and initial shipping costs are not refunded.
When will I receive my refund?
Once the return has been received and approved, the refund will be processed using the same payment method used for the purchase, within a maximum of 14 calendar days. The amount of the items will be refunded, not the shipping costs.
How do I choose my size?
Measure both feet from heel to the longest toe and compare the larger measurement with the model's size guide. Do this standing up and, if possible, at the end of the day. Each product's guide is the most reliable reference.
What should I do if I'm between two sizes?
For Libertas ballet flats, we recommend choosing a size up to allow room for your toes. For example, if you wear an EU 38.5, choose an EU 39. Always check the specific recommendation for each product.
Do all models fit the same?
Not necessarily. The last, material, and design may slightly change the fit and feel. Consult the model's sizing guide and recommendation before choosing.
Why is the toe box wider?
The anatomical toe box allows space for the toes to spread and move more freely. The foot should not be compressed at the sides, although the footwear should be held securely when walking.
What materials do you use?
Materials vary by product. You'll find the composition and care instructions for each item; several footwear models use natural leather and lightweight, flexible TPU soles. Always refer to the information for the specific model.
Where is the footwear designed and manufactured?
Libertas footwear is designed and manufactured in Spain, in collaboration with specialized workshops. The brand is committed to local production and to carefully selecting both materials and finishes.
My size is out of stock, will it be available again?
Some sizes and colors may be restocked. If the product offers a back-in-stock notification, leave your email on the out-of-stock size; you will receive a notification if it becomes available again.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay with credit or debit card and with PayPal. If other options are available for your market, they will appear directly during the checkout process.
Is it safe to buy on the website?
Payment is processed through secure gateways, and the store does not need to retain your full card details. Always check that you are on the official website before entering payment information.
My payment has been declined, what can I do?
Check your card's online purchase data, limit, and authorization. You can also try another payment method. If the amount appears as held without a confirmed order, first consult with your bank and then contact us.
How is a refund paid?
The refund is sent to the same method used for the purchase: to the credit or debit card, or to the PayPal account. The time it takes to see it reflected may depend on the payment institution.
How do I clean leather footwear?
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive products and test any leather-specific product on an inconspicuous area. Always follow the care recommendations on the model's product sheet.
What do I do if my Libertas get wet?
Dry them with a soft cloth, without rubbing, and let them air dry at room temperature. Do not use a hairdryer, radiator, or other direct heat source, as this may alter the leather and adhesives.
What products should I avoid?
Avoid direct contact with water, perfumes, grease, cosmetics, and abrasive cleaners. Natural leather may have variations in tone, marks, or grain inherent to the material, which are not defects.
How do I store footwear to keep its shape?
Keep it clean and dry, in a ventilated place away from the sun or heat. Do not compress it under other boxes and let it air out after use before storing it.
How do I care for tabi socks?
Follow the product label instructions, separate similar colors, and avoid high temperatures or intense drying that could affect the cotton and elastane. Do not apply skincare guidelines to the fabric.
What does it mean for a shoe to be barefoot?
It is footwear designed to interfere as little as possible with the natural movement of the foot: it leaves room for the toes, offers flexibility, and keeps the foot flat, with no artificial drop between the heel and forefoot.
What characteristics should barefoot shoes have?
The key features are a wide, anatomical toe box, a thin and flexible sole, and zero drop. The combination aims to allow the foot to move, flex, and better perceive the ground without sacrificing protection.
How do I start transitioning to barefoot?
Start gradually, alternating them with your regular footwear and increasing the time based on how you feel. Adaptation is personal: if you experience persistent pain or have a pre-existing injury or condition, consult a healthcare professional.
What is the purpose of the big toe separator?
The tabi sock-inspired design aims to highlight the big toe and promote a more natural support base. The sensation may feel different at first, so it's advisable to adapt progressively.
Can I use insoles or socks with barefoot shoes?
You can use non-compressive socks; tabi models facilitate a good fit for designs with a separated big toe. If you need a prescribed insole, confirm with the professional who prescribed it that it is compatible with the space and fit of the model.
Is barefoot footwear suitable for everyone?
Every foot and every adaptation process is different. Many people value their freedom and flexibility, but in cases of pain, recent surgery, a diagnosed pathology, or specific biomechanical needs, seek an individual professional assessment.
