Spanish barefoot footwear for everyday.
When we discovered barefoot shoes, we understood why so many conventional shoes felt too narrow, stiff, or uncomfortable to wear for hours at a time. But we also noticed another problem: very few barefoot shoes matched the way we wanted to dress.
At Libertas, we design barefoot ballet flats, sandals, and sneakers with a wide toe box and flexible soles, combining the freedom of barefoot footwear with a stylish design you can wear every day.
The Founders
It started with a simple question
Why should comfortable shoes mean changing the way you dress?
When we discovered barefoot footwear, we finally understood why so many conventional shoes had always felt narrow, rigid or uncomfortable after a few hours.
But we had another problem.
Most barefoot shoes didn't look like the shoes we actually wanted to wear.
So, in July 2024, we decided to create our own.
Libertas Barefoot started with the ballet flat — one of the most timeless shoes in a woman's wardrobe, but traditionally one of the most restrictive for the toes.
Our goal was to redesign it from the inside out: creating more space for the foot while preserving the clean, elegant silhouette that made us love ballet flats in the first place.
That idea became Libertas.

Designed around the shape of the foot
The shoe should adapt to your foot — not the other way around.
Every Libertas shoe starts with the same principles.
A wide, foot-shaped toe box gives your toes room to spread naturally.
A zero-drop sole keeps the heel and forefoot at the same level.
And a thin, flexible construction allows the shoe to move more freely with your foot.
Barefoot on the inside. Libertas on the outside.
We never wanted barefoot footwear to look technical.
We wanted ballet flats you could wear to work, sandals for long summer days and sneakers that worked with the clothes already in your wardrobe.
That is why we spend as much time thinking about proportions, materials, colours and finishes as we do about lasts and soles.
For us, barefoot is how the shoe is built.
It doesn't have to define how the shoe looks.
Designed and made in Spain
Libertas shoes are designed and made in Spain in collaboration with specialised footwear workshops.
Working closely with our manufacturers allows us to stay involved throughout the process — from the development of our lasts and soles to the selection of materials and final finishes.
It also connects us to a long tradition of Spanish shoemaking and craftsmanship.
We create shoes to be worn often, enjoyed and cared for — not simply added to your wardrobe.
